The Westgate community/area of Grande Prairie isn’t necessarily a large one but it does have one of the largest selection of restaurants based on it’s sheer size.

We absolutely love Westgate Grande Prairie and all it has to offer the community. One of the things that keeps people coming back to the area of Westgate is the wide selection of food options within the community of Grande Prairie. The area can certainly help you satisfy your cravings with a wide assortment of foods available.

Every now and then our staff members take a trip to the Westgate Grande Prairie area to enjoy (in no particular order) our favourite places to eat.

Browns Socialhouse Westgate

A smaller restaurant chain Browns Socialhouse was one of the first new restaurants to open up in Westgate. Since it’s opening it has been a favourite for people all over the city of Grande Prairie. With 622 reviews and a 4.4 star rating we always love going to Browns and rumour has it they may be opening a new location on the same side of the city as Windsor Ford.

For now though the lone Westgate location remains and we highly recommend visiting the location to enjoy some of the yam friends, dynamite rolls, or the potato crusted halibut. You can find Browns Socialhouse in the Westgate area at 11509 Westgate Dr, Grande Prairie.

Sheshu’s Sizzling Tandoor, House of Indian Flavours

A relatively new restaurant to the Westgate area, Sheshu’s serves fine Indian food and flavours. One thing Grande Prairie was missing for the longest time was enjoying some delicious Indian cuisine but since the opening of Sheshu’s we’ve seen a handful of new restaurants open following suit.

If you love Indian food this one will be a no brainer. You can visit their location at 11520, 105 Westgate Dr #105, Grande Prairie or you can schedule for takeout!

Five Guys

The favourite hamburger joint in Westgate without a doubt belongs to Five Guys. If you’ve never had the opportunity to taste one of these dlicious burgers do yourself a favour…drop what you’re doing and head to 11230 Westgate Dr in Grande Prairie and order on of their cheeseburgers.

They don’t have the biggest menu which is alright, when you cook hamburgers, hot dogs and fries this well that’s all you need and clearly the people of Grande Prairie agree!

Soleilki Asian Buffet

The only buffet in Westgate belongs to Soleilki. ANother newcome to the Westgate area their buffet provides a wide variety of dishes from around the world so you’d be hard pressed not to find something you like. Our recommendation for this is to enjoy it with your family or a large group of people as the food is abundant and the prices are reasonable.

When you’re done you can easily visit the ice cream bar to enjoy in some dessert!
